Through the workings of this group, GSM India seeks to take leadership in enabling new technology and applications to reach the customer. This group is also charged with the task of moving GSM India from that of an information and coordinating platform to one of development with the implementation of interoperability of new technology.

The New Applications and Services Working Group representing the GSM industry in India has the task of evaluating products that are potential revenue creators for operators. On another level, it will provide the platform for small/medium/large ancillary enterprises to innovate and display their products, thereby giving them the capability of enhancing revenue.

The ultimate objectives being to enhance user experience and provide Value Added Service to GSM customers.
